OUR METHODOLOGY
Our methodology is based on the communicative and total immersion models
of language acquisition. The students and teacher use only the target
language from the very beginning.
The primary scope is to start by developing the students capacity to
listen and to speak the language they are learning.
Our teachers combine the structural and functional approaches to their
language instruction. During the whole period the interaction teacher/student
makes it dynamic and easy to memorize.
The methodology used aims at achieving fluency and full understanding
in the everyday language.
By combining the four skills ( listening, speaking, reading and writing
) with the direct method, our teachers offer the students the perfect
environment for learning the language in a smooth and natural way with
motivation and good results.
The best witnesses of this successful process are the students themselves
when they realize, at the beginning of their course that they can communicate
in the target language even if it is in a basic level.
Unique feature: Every two weeks our Educational Director has
a touch-base with the students to confirm the progression of their program
and the effectiveness of the project.
OUR TEACHERS
Our teachers have special academic qualifications in the field of teaching
languages for foreign students and, besides the expertise in the language
they are teaching, they offer the cultural background of the target
language.
This is possible because they are native speakers.
An extensive training course is offered prior to hiring process and
constant class observation is conducted by the Educational Director
of the school.
OUR MATERIAL
Our classes are concentrated on the student's participation and performance
through the guidance of the teacher. The interaction between teacher/student
is a constant stimulus for the student to produce in the target language.
Reading and writing come into process after the student has mastered
the oral production of the specific unit.
Thus, all four skills ( listening, speaking, reading, and writing )
are covered during the instruction.
Our course use selected core textbooks as follow-up for the students
to review after class.
Our materials contain a multi-skills syllabus integrating themes, structures,
functions, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
The topics are real-world content, with plenty of comprehensive structure
presentation and practice giving the students the opportunity to develop
listening skills, oral exercises, and high-interest readings leading
to thoughtful discussion in the production phasis.
CDs or cassettes are offered for study activities.
Extensive workbook exercises reinforce the grammar and vocabulary presented
in the corresponding Student's Book unit and recycle language from past
units.
