While Augusta has successfully taught students language instruction in Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian and German, she has gained a reputation as one of the foremost experts in teaching English as a foreign language.

A native of Brazil, Augusta received a bachelor’s degree in English and Portuguese, a master’s degree in North American Literature, and took a doctorate course in English.She went to teach courses in English and American Literature at three of Brazil’s most outstanding universities. Her career then led to professional language schools, and she spent 10 years in São Paulo as a licensee of a well-respected Swiss language organization.She later relocated to the USA, and worked for the same Swiss organization, in South Florida, where she served as CEO for a group of 7 centers.

Apart from English and Portuguese, Augusta is also fluent in Spanish, French, Italian and German, a tremendous asset in terms of handling student's needs. "Because I speak these languages, I am able to customize programs for our students," she explained. "Often, students that speak a certain language have specific difficulties with aspects of their new language, be it pronunciation or grammar or writing. My background knowledge offers a short-cut that saves time and makes the learning process easier."
